It was my idea to book a session with Red Umbrella Intimate Portraiture. I have done a few shoots before, but wanted to do something different.

I have always loved the pinup look and have wanted to take pinup photos. Joining pinup and boudoir just seemed like a fun thing to do. I started with photos I found for inspiration, ordered some lingerie that I thought matched the theme, discussed the theme with my hair/makeup stylist, and went from there.
I made sure to have a hair/makeup stylist booked so I didn’t have to worry about that. I purchased lingerie that spanned several looks to have options. I then made sure to have coordinating accessories and discussed my vision with Susan.
I was a little nervous to see the outcomes, but Susan was spot-on with what she had planned and made the entire experience less nerve-wracking.
The highlight of the shoot was the fun we had with my husband there watching and lots of laughs. I felt confident and empowered walking away from the shoot.
